The Institute for Sociocultural Community Development is engaged in four mandated areas: teaching, continuing education, applied research and development, and services. They are responsible for the modules of the bachelor specialization specialisation Community Development (German Soziokultur).
For and with its partners, the Institute for Sociocultural Community Development maps out solutions for complex challenges. Moreover, it discusses questions and problems relating to urban and neighbourhood development, public space, intergenerational communal living, and civil society.
