Swiss National Science Foundation, SNF

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) supports scientific research in all academic disciplines – from chemistry to medicine to sociology. At the end of 2024, the SNSF was funding around 6000 projects involving 22,000 researchers.

The four priorities in the Strategic Framework for the 2021–2032 time period are:

  • to promote Diversity in Research
  • to shape the Future of Research
  • to convey the Value of Research
  • to strengthen the Competence of the SNSF
